In a surprising turn of events, star cricketer Rishabh Pant is recovering at a much faster pace than expected after sustaining injuries in a car accident last December. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the medical staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru are astounded by his progress.
According to a recent report from RevSportz, Pant has started facing deliveries exceeding 140 kmph in the nets at the NCA. While he was limited to facing throwdowns until last month, he has steadily increased his pace and is now taking on fast deliveries with remarkable agility.
A source at the NCA stated, "Rishabh has been making a fine recovery. He has started to take on deliveries with a speed excess of 140 kmph. We all are delighted with the way he has been crossing every hurdle in his recovery. He is keeping well. His next target will be to focus on larger and quicker body movements, which we aim to achieve in the next couple of months."
Meanwhile, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer are also at the NCA, undergoing their respective rehabilitation processes. KL Rahul, in particular, is nearing full recovery and is highly likely to make his comeback in international cricket during the upcoming Asia Cup 2023.
As reported by TOI, "KL Rahul is now completely fit and available for selection and could return to Team India for the Asia Cup 2023."
The coaches and medical experts at the BCCI's National Cricket Academy in Bangalore are satisfied with Rahul's progress, and he is expected to be available for selection for the prestigious Asia Cup.
Exciting times lie ahead for Indian cricket fans as both Rishabh Pant's rapid recovery and KL Rahul's imminent return promise to bolster the team's performance in the upcoming tournaments.
