Following the conclusion of day three of the fifth Ashes Test between England and Australia at The Kia Oval, the 37-year-old cricketer, Stuart Broad, has officially announced his retirement. This decision comes after an illustrious career during which he achieved the remarkable feat of surpassing 600 wickets in Test cricket. Having made his debut against Sri Lanka in December 2007, Broad has been an integral part of the England Test side, earning 167 caps and emerging as the leading wicket-taker in this summer's Ashes series. His bowling prowess as a right-arm seamer has been evident throughout his journey, having represented England in 121 one-day internationals and 56 international T20 matches.
