India Tour of WI: Complete schedule of West Indies tour of India; Team India will play two Tests, three ODIs and five T20s

Team India will play two Tests, three ODIs and five T20s on the Windies tour. The Windies tour will also mark the start of India's next World Test Championship cycle. Along with this, Team India will have a chance to implement the preparations for the ODI World Cup.

The Indian team has got a break of about a month after the WTC final. From July 12, the two-match Test series between India and West Indies will begin in Dominica. The second Test will be played in Trinidad from 20 July. At the same time, the three-match ODI series will start from 27 July. The first and second ODIs (July 29) will be played in Barbados, while the third ODI will be played in Trinidad on August 1.

T20 series starts from August 3

The five-match T20 series between India and West Indies will begin on August 3. The first T20 will be played in Trinidad, the second T20 in Guyana on August 6, the third T20 in Guyana on August 8, the fourth T20 in Florida on August 12 and the fifth T20 in Florida on August 13. That means two T20s will be played in USA as well. The next T20 World Cup i.e. 2024 T20 World Cup is to be played in West Indies and USA only.

Major changes expected in the team

It is believed that many changes can be made in the team for the Test and T20 series against West Indies. The next WTC final is to be played in 2025. In such a situation, this is considered to be the best time to prepare a new player. According to media reports, Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav can be dropped from the team due to poor performance. At the same time, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mukesh Kumar can be included in the team for the Test series against the West Indies in their place.

Rinku Singh-Jitesh Sharma may get a chance

According to media reports, the selection committee under the leadership of Shiv Sunder Das has started searching for the next generation of players. A completely new team can be sent for the T20 series. In these, some players who have performed brilliantly in IPL can also be included. Players like Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma can get a chance in the T20 team. 

Rohit-Kohli may be ignored from T20 team

Apart from this, Rituraj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal can also make a place in the T20 team. Mohit Sharma, who returned to IPL after a long time, can also get a place in Team India. Mohit bowled brilliantly in the IPL. At the same time, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli may once again be kept out of the T20 squad, while Siraj and Shami may be rested during the T20 series considering the workload and the upcoming ODI World Cup.
