The dispute between former Indian team captain Virat Kohli and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly is not hidden from anyone. At the end of 2021, Virat left the captaincy of T20. He was dropped from the ODI captaincy shortly thereafter. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly had claimed at the time that he himself had asked Virat to relinquish the T20 captaincy. But Virat said in the press conference that no one refused him to give up the captaincy.

Chetan Sharma's claim

Chetan Sharma has claimed in Zee Media's alleged sting operation that there was a tussle between Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly. He claimed that there was a tussle between Ganguly and Virat. According to Chetan, Virat Kohli used to think that his stature has become bigger than cricket. He claimed in the alleged sting that Virat had deliberately hit back at BCCI President Sourav Ganguly.

Ganguly had agreed

Chetan Sharma claims that Virat Kohli was refused by Ganguly to step down as captain. In the sting, Chetan Sharma is heard saying that Ganguly gave a statement somewhere that when Vira Kohli was talking to us that I want to give up the captaincy, I told him not to give up the captaincy. On the other hand, Virat went to the media and said that the President never said this to me. Controversy came from this.

Chetan Sharma claimed that Sourav Ganguly had said to think once. Which may be that Virat would not have heard in the video conferencing. There were 9 people sitting there. There is not one man. Everyone was there. I was also. All were selectors. All the presidents of Borg were either Virat did not listen or Virat did not know.. I do not know. He said that Virat was lying. But why did he tell such a lie, no one knows till date.

BCCI targeted Virat kohli and removed him from Captaincy.
