Cricket fans from both India and Pakistan eagerly await clashes between the two nations. Recently, in the men's T20 World Cup, India faced Pakistan in the group stage and emerged victorious. Now, the women's teams of both countries are set to clash. The Women Asia Cup schedule has been announced, and defending champions India will kick off their campaign in this T20 tournament against arch-rivals Pakistan on July 19.
The tournament will be held in Sri Lanka from July 19 to July 28, featuring eight teams from the continent. Unlike the previous edition, the teams are divided into two groups this year. India, Pakistan, UAE, and Nepal are placed in Group A, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Malaysia are in Group B. According to the schedule released by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), India will play against UAE on July 21 and Nepal on July 23 after their match against Pakistan.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals, which will be played on July 26. The final will be held on July 28. Once again, all match officials for the tournament will be women. India is the most successful team in Asia Cup history, with seven titles. This tournament has been played in the T20 format since 2012.
