For the upcoming One-Day World Cup, the Indian team has announced a squad that features a majority of players who recently participated in the Asia Cup. The Asia Cup squad had a total of 18 players, but Sanju Samson, Prasidh Krishna, and Tilak Varma from that squad have not been selected for the World Cup.
Out of the 15 players chosen for the World Cup, most of them come from the seven IPL franchises. Among them, the teams captained by Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians, and vice-captained by Hardik Pandya, Gujarat Titans, have a strong presence. These two teams have contributed the most players to the World Cup squad.

Interestingly, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings, and Rajasthan Royals have not seen any of their players make it to the World Cup squad. Samson, who captains Rajasthan Royals, is part of the backup squad for the Asia Cup but did not make the cut for the World Cup. He is joined by his Rajasthan teammate Tilak Varma.
Overall, these selections reflect the strong performances and leadership roles of players from various IPL franchises, which could prove advantageous for Team India in the upcoming World Cup.
