India's pace spearhead and skipper for the Ireland series, Jasprit Bumrah, showcased his trademark fire during practice on August 16 in Ireland. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video clip from India's initial training session ahead of the 3-match series, capturing Bumrah's delivery of scorching deliveries to the young Indian batsmen.

Bumrah had grappled with a persistent back injury that sidelined him for an extended period. The injury saga began in 2022, preventing his participation in the Asia Cup. Despite attempts to hasten his return for the World T20, his involvement exacerbated the issue during a series against Australia. This unfortunate series of events resulted in Bumrah's absence from key tournaments like the Asia Cup, the 2022 T20 World Cup, and the entire IPL 2023 season.

Taking a proactive step, Bumrah underwent a successful back surgery in March 2023 in Christchurch, New Zealand. Following the procedure, he embarked on an intensive rehabilitation journey at India's National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Bumrah's recovery program included daily bowling sessions, indicating a steady and encouraging progression towards complete fitness.

As Bumrah rejoins the Indian cricket fold, his fiery bowling display at the Ireland nets marks a promising resurgence for the ace fast bowler, bringing hope and excitement to the cricketing world.
