Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant's road to recovery has seen "significant progress," according to a recent press release by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Pant had been sidelined from action since a dreadful car accident on December 30 last year, which resulted in leg surgeries.

The BCCI's statement revealed that Pant has resumed both batting and keeping in the nets. Additionally, he is diligently following a customized fitness program that focuses on strength, flexibility, and running. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah expressed optimism about Pant's rehabilitation progress in the released statement.

Updates on the rehabilitation status of four other players currently at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru were also included in the statement. KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer have resumed batting in the nets and are actively participating in strength and fitness drills. The BCCI Medical Team has expressed satisfaction with their progress and plans to intensify their training in both skills and physical conditioning in the coming days.

Regarding Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna, the statement mentioned that the fast bowlers are in the final stages of their rehabilitation and are bowling with full intensity in the nets. To further assess their progress, the duo will participate in practice games organized by the National Cricket Academy. The BCCI Medical Team will then make a final decision on their readiness based on their performance during these practice games.

As the Indian cricket fraternity eagerly awaits the return of these talented players, the updates indicate positive strides in their recoveries. Fans and supporters are hopeful to witness their exceptional skills back on the field soon.
