During the second Ashes 2023 Test at Lord's, England cricketer Jonny Bairstow found himself dealing with a pitch invader from a group called 'Just Stop Oil.' Bairstow's swift action grabbed attention as he single-handedly carried the protester off the ground.

The highly anticipated Test match between England and Australia started as scheduled. However, chaos ensued during the second over when two protestors stormed onto the field, carrying orange paint dust. Despite the disruption, Bairstow reacted quickly and managed to grab one of the intruders, escorting them towards the boundary edge.

England's captain, Ben Stokes, also tried to stop one of the invaders wearing a white T-shirt with the words 'Just Stop Oil.' Fortunately, the incident had minimal impact on the game, and the pitch remained unaffected. Bairstow briefly left the field to change his shirt but swiftly returned through the iconic Long Room at Lord's. Play resumed soon after, allowing the match to continue smoothly.

It is noteworthy that this was not the first time Bairstow encountered a pitch invader. In 2021, during the fourth Test against India at the Oval, he had an incident with the YouTube prankster Jarvo 69, who collided with Bairstow while he was on the outfield. Bairstow's actions at Lord's once again showcased his ability to handle unexpected situations calmly. His quick thinking and intervention prevented any significant disruptions to the game, earning him applause from players and fans alike.
