ICC WCQ 2023: Zimbabwe did a big upset, beat West Indies by 35 runs

In the Group A match of the ICC World Cup Qualifier 2023, Zimbabwe has made a big upset by defeating the West Indies by 35 runs. Batting first, Zimbabwe had set a target of 269 runs for victory in front of West Indies, the West Indies team was bundled out for 233 runs in 44.4 overs. Chatara took three wickets. Zimbabwe's third consecutive win in the ICC World Qualifier, with this victory Zimbabwe's team has reached the top of the group. Sikandar Raza was awarded the Player of the Match for his all-round performance (68 runs, two wickets).

Chasing the target, the West Indies team got piled on 233 runs in 44.4 overs. Kyle Meyers scored the highest innings of 56 runs. Apart from this, Roston Chase contributed 44, Nicholas Pooran 34 and Shine Hope contributed 30 runs. Tendai Chatara took the maximum three wickets for Zimbabwe. Mujarbani, Nagarwa and Sikandar Raza got two successes each.
