followed. At the same time, chased the fourth biggest target in the history of IPL. The biggest run chase in IPL was done by Rajasthan team against Punjab in 2020. In this match, Rajasthan had achieved the target of 224 runs.

Good start for Rajasthan
Rajasthan Royals got off to a great start after winning the toss and electing to bat first. The opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler took the team's score to 50 runs within five overs. Rajasthan's score after the powerplay was 65 for no loss. The foundation for a big score had been laid. However, Butler was dismissed by Piyush Chawla in the eighth over. He scored 18 runs in 19 balls. Captain Samson, who came to bat at number three, could not do anything special. He became the victim of Arshad Khan by scoring 14 runs in 10 balls. After this Chawla made Devdutt Padikkal his second victim. Padikkal could only score two runs.

Jason Holder was sent to bat at number five in this match, but he was also dismissed after scoring 11 runs in nine balls. Shimron Hetmyer was also dismissed after scoring eight runs in nine balls. Meredith then dismissed Dhruv Jurel for two runs. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal stuck to one end and completed his century off 53 balls. Even in the last two overs, Jaiswal scored most of the runs and Rajasthan's team managed to score 212 runs for seven wickets. Jaiswal got out with three balls to spare, but managed to take his team to a huge score. In this match, Rajasthan also made the biggest score against Mumbai. Earlier this team had scored 193 against Mumbai in 2022.

Jaiswal kept fighting alone
Yashasvi Jaiswal kept scoring runs for Rajasthan alone in this match. He did not get anyone's support, but on his own he took Rajasthan beyond 200 runs. He scored 124 runs in 62 balls with the help of 16 fours and eight sixes. He is the fourth youngest Indian to score a century in IPL. He did this feat at the age of 21. At the forefront of this is Manish Pandey, who did this at the age of 19. At the same time, Rishabh Pant scored a century in IPL at the age of 20 and Devdutt Padikkal also at the age of 20. Jaiswal is also the uncapped player who scored the highest score in IPL. He scored 124 runs in this match. Before him, Paul Valthaty had scored an unbeaten 120 in 2011. There itself, Shaun Marsh scored 115 not out in 2008 and Manish Pandey scored 114 not out in 2009. Butler also scored the joint-highest score for Rajasthan. Earlier, Butler has also played an inning of 124 runs for this team in 2021.

Apart from Jaiswal, no other batsman could do anything special for Rajasthan in this match. Jos Buttler was the team's second highest scorer with 18 runs. Apart from these two, only Sanju Samson (14 runs) and Jason Holder (11 runs) could touch the figure of Dahai. Arshad Khan took three wickets and Piyush Chawla took two wickets for Mumbai. At the same time, Joffra Archer and Riley Meredith got one wicket each.

Mumbai's poor start
Chasing the target of 213 runs, Mumbai's start was nothing special. Captain Rohit Sharma was clean bowled by Sandeep Sharma after scoring three runs on his birthday. Sandeep dismissed him for the fifth time in the IPL. After this, Cameron Green and Ishaan Kishan scored fast. Both together took Mumbai's score to 58 for one wicket till the end of the powerplay. Both scored 62 runs for the second wicket. Ishaan Kishan became the victim of Ashwin by scoring 28 runs.

After Kishan's dismissal, Suryakumar combined with Green to score quick runs. Ashwin dismissed Green for 44, his second in the match and his 300th in T20s. At this time Mumbai's score was 101 runs for three wickets in 11 overs. After this, Suryakumar Yadav shared a brilliant partnership with Tilak Verma to take Mumbai's score beyond 150 runs. After this, Surya was also dismissed after scoring 55 runs in 29 balls. Sandeep Sharma caught his brilliant catch on Bolt's ball. Now the responsibility of getting Mumbai to victory was on Tilak Verma and Tim David.

Tim David hit three sixes to win
Tilak and David batted aggressively and reached Mumbai's score of 181 runs after 18 overs. Mumbai needed 32 runs in the last two overs to win. Sandeep Sharma scored 15 runs in the 19th over and Mumbai needed 17 runs in the last over. In the first three balls of Jason Holder's over, Tim David hit three sixes to give Mumbai the victory with three balls to spare. David remained unbeaten on 45 off 14 balls and Tilak scored 29 off 21 balls. Ashwin took two wickets for Rajasthan. Boult and Sandeep Sharma got one wicket each.
