Rahul was in good touch in IPL 2023
Lokesh Rahul was in good touch in IPL 2023. He scored 274 runs in nine innings for Lucknow Supergiants at an average of 34.25 and a strike rate of 113.22. However, his strike rate definitely remained in the discussion. Opening the innings for Lucknow, his strike rate could have been close to 150. However, in the last few seasons in the IPL, he has batted slowly. Now in place of Rahul, Krunal Pandya has been given the command of Lucknow. The Lucknow team is currently second in the points table with five wins and one draw in 10 matches and are strong contenders to reach the playoffs.

After Rahul's ouster from the final of the World Test Championship, Sreekar Bharat is set to play in the title clash against Australia. Bharat will be part of the playing 11 as a wicket-keeper batsman. Earlier this responsibility could have been given to Rahul. Rahul's performance in England has been good. He had played a good century on the last tour as well.
