MS Dhoni (MS Dhoni)

MS Dhoni, one of the greatest finishers and greatest captain of world cricket has already bid adieu to international cricket. Dhoni retired from international cricket on 14 August 2020. Thala will turn 42 this coming July. Last year, Dhoni had said that he wanted to play the IPL for the fans at the Chepauk Stadium for the last time before retirement. May be the time has come for one of the greatest players Dhoni to bid adieu to IPL.

Amit Mishra

At the age of 40, Amit Mishra will return to the Indian Premier League for Lucknow Super Giants. Lucknow bought him for Rs 50 lakh. The veteran spinner last played in the IPL in 2021 for Delhi Capitals. He has taken 166 wickets in 154 IPL matches. He is the only bowler to have taken three hat-tricks in IPL in 2008, 2011 and 2012 seasons. Amit Mishra is fondly called the "hat-trick man" in the league. It is believed that this will be his last IPL.

Ambati Rayudu -

Rayudu is one of the most successful players in the IPL as a player in championship teams on five separate occasions. Rayudu has been a part of the team during the 2013, 2015, 2017 Mumbai Indians and 2018, 2021 Chennai Super Kings champions. The middle-order batsman is the 10th Indian player to score 4,000 runs in IPL. Rayudu is 37 now and has often been seen struggling for fitness on the field. Rayudu may play his last Indian Premier League game in 2023.

Ishant Sharma

The 34-year-old Ishant Sharma has struggled with both injuries and form for the past one year. Earlier this year, the selectors had also dropped Sharma from India's Test line-up, indicating a change in the pace attack. Ishant has taken 72 wickets in 93 IPL matches. In his initial days for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Ishant Sharma was lethal for the franchise. Due to injury, he may play his last IPL this time.

Wriddhiman Saha

Wriddhiman Saha might not have been a successful player in IPL but he played some important innings for each of the franchises he played for. Saha played a blistering knock of 115 off just 55 balls for Punjab against Kolkata Knight Riders. Scored three half-centuries while batting for Gujarat Titans last year. He helped the Titans win their first IPL championship. Saha will turn 38 by the end of October. Saha may decide to retire from IPL or cricket altogether after IPL 2023.
