World Champion Team to Arrive in Delhi at 6 AM, Meet PM

The Indian cricket team, fresh off their historic T20 World Cup win, is set to return to India with a grand reception planned. According to BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla, the team will arrive in Delhi at 6 AM on a special Air India flight. Following their arrival, they will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 11 AM. The team will then fly to Mumbai for a victory parade in the evening.


Schedule of Team India's Homecoming:


· 6:00 AM: Team India arrives in Delhi.

· 11:00 AM: Meeting with Prime Minister Modi at his residence.

· Afternoon: Departure to Mumbai on a special flight.

· 5:00 PM: Victory parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium.

The victory parade is set to be a spectacular celebration, starting from Marine Drive and culminating at Wankhede Stadium. The BCCI has arranged for a cash prize of INR 125 crore to be awarded to the team at a special ceremony at the stadium.

Rajeev Shukla's Statement: Rajeev Shukla shared details about the arrangements, stating, 

"A special Air India flight was arranged by the BCCI to bring back the Indian team and stranded media personnel. The team will arrive in Delhi at 6 AM. PM Modi will host a welcome ceremony at his residence at 11 AM. Afterwards, the team will fly to Mumbai, where a road show from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium will be held. A grand ceremony at Wankhede will honor the team, coach, and support staff with a cash prize of INR 125 crore."

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah confirmed the details on Twitter, inviting fans to join the victory parade in Mumbai on July 4th. 

"Join us for the Victory Parade honoring Team India's World Cup win! Head to Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium on July 4th from 5:00 PM onwards to celebrate with us! Save the date!"

Captain Rohit Sharma’s Tweet

Captain Rohit Sharma also tweeted about the victory parade, inviting all fans to join in the celebrations. 

"We want to enjoy this special moment with all of you. So let’s celebrate this win with a victory parade at Marine Drive & Wankhede on July 4th from 5:00 PM onwards. It’s coming home."
