The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has established a Cricket Technical Committee (CTC) headed by former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq. The committee comprises esteemed cricketers Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Hafeez, who will play vital roles in shaping various cricketing activities in Pakistan.

The CTC's responsibilities extend to making recommendations on multiple cricket-related matters, such as the domestic structure, scheduling, playing conditions, selection committee appointments, coaching staff for the national team, contracts for players, and plans for developing umpires, referees, and curators. The committee holds the authority to invite additional cricket experts and will regularly report to the head of the PCB Management Committee.

Zaka Ashraf, Chairperson of the PCB Management Committee, expressed his delight in having the three former captains on board, stating that their wealth of cricket knowledge would help create a robust system for the country's cricketers. The focus will be on building a foolproof and progressive domestic cricket structure to nurture and produce exceptional players.

Misbah-ul-Haq, Pakistan's most successful Test captain, expressed his gratitude for being appointed as the head of the committee, acknowledging the challenge it brings. He emphasized the vast experience and expertise of the committee members, expressing confidence that their recommendations will bring positive changes to the game, benefiting cricket from grassroots to the highest level.

The CTC will also include Junaid Zia, the Acting Director of Domestic Cricket Operations, as an ex-officio member, along with Usman Tasleem serving as the ex-officio and secretary. With this high-profile committee in place, the PCB aims to elevate the standard of cricket in the nation and foster the growth of talented players.
