IPL 2023: Yuzvendra Chahal created history, left Lasith Malinga behind, now eyeing Dwayne Bravo's record

In the eighth match of IPL 2023, Punjab Kings defeated Rajasthan Royals by five runs. This win has propelled them to the second spot in the points table. Batting first, Punjab scored 197 runs losing four wickets in 20 overs. In response, the Rajasthan team could only score 192 runs after losing seven wickets in 20 overs. The Rajasthan team lost in this match, but Yuzvendra Chahal made a special record in his name.

Chahal proved to be very expensive and spent 50 runs in four overs. He got the only wicket of Jitesh Sharma. However, by taking this wicket, Chahal became the second highest wicket-taker in IPL history. However, he is the first among Indians to take the most wickets in this league. Chahal has so far taken 171 wickets in 133 matches. During this, his economy rate has been 7.63. During this, four wickets in an innings were included four times and five wickets in an innings once.

What happened in the match?
Talking about the match, while batting first, Dhawan and Prabhsimran Singh got Punjab off to a great start. There was a 90-run partnership between the two in 58 balls. Prabhasimran got out after scoring 60 runs in 34 balls with the help of seven fours and three sixes. Bhanuka Rajapaksa could score one run, Sikandar Raza one run and Shahrukh Khan could score only 11 runs. Jitesh Sharma played an inning of 27 runs in 16 balls with the help of two fours and a six. Jason Holder took the maximum two wickets from Rajasthan. At the same time, Ashwin and Chahal got one wicket each.
