Women's Premier League Cricket (WPL) 2023 Auction (Nilami) Live: Hello! Welcome to the live blog of Amar Ujala. The auction regarding the Women's Premier League (WPL) continues in Mumbai today. The first edition of WPL will be organized from March 4 to 26 this year. 448 players have been shortlisted in the players' auction for this league, which is going to be held for the first time on the lines of IPL. Out of these only 90 players will be auctioned. That is, a team can have a maximum of 18 players.

WPL Auction Live: 45 minutes break, know what happened so far

UP Warriors has bought the maximum number of 10 players. Rs 2.95 crore is left in his purse. At the same time, Gujarat Giants and Delhi Capitals have bought 7-7 players. Gujarat has five out of seven foreign players. They need to buy Indian players. Gujarat is left with Rs 3.75 crore and Delhi with Rs 3.95 crore. Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore have bought five players each. Mumbai is left with Rs 2.60 crore and Bangalore is left with Rs 3 crore.

Smriti Mandhana (RCB) has been the costliest sold in the auction so far. He got a bid of Rs 3.40 crore. At the same time, England's Natalie Sciver (MI) and Australia's Ashley Gardner (GGT) got a bid of Rs 3.20 crore. India's Deepti Sharma (UPW) fetches a bid of Rs 2.60 crore. Whereas, Jemima Rodrigues (DC) was sold for Rs 2.20 crore and Shefali Verma (DC) for Rs 2 crore. Australia's Beth Mooney was also bought by Gujarat Giants (GGT) for Rs 2 crore. She is the top player ever.

So far, UP Warriors have bought the maximum number of seven players in the auction. He has Rs 3.55 crore left in his purse. Whereas, Gujarat Giants have bought six players. Five of these are foreign players. He is left with Rs 4.50 crore. Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore have bought five players each. Mumbai is left with Rs 2.60 crore and Bangalore is left with Rs 3 crore. Delhi is left with Rs 6.70 crore. They have bought three players so far.
